OBSCURE MIRRORS
Digital Photographs, dimensions variable
2018
Starting point for these works are the surfaces of our digital technologies such as smartphones and tablets. Focusing on the cool and reflective surfaces of our technical equipment, they search for the traces we leave on them. Taking into account various ancient traditions, which used black mirrors (e.g. made out of polished obsidian) as magical tools, these images evoke a notion of mysticism that lies underneath the use of our technology.
